Guitar Description
In 1982 Haywire was in the forefront with some of the first prototype models for the Nashville Telecaster® design. This guitar exactly represents the much duplicated design that we came up with many years ago in Santa Barbara, CA.
The Haywire Shredneck Tele® is a picker's delight, thanks to the fast neck and Stainless Steel frets for strings that you can bend from here to Nashville. The great sustain of this Warmoth neck and Alder or Swamp Ash body combination is excellent with an even and balanced tonal range sure to please your ears.
You can select and mix the pickups with enough sonic variety to go anywhere, from a biting bridge pickup sound to a jazzy-sounding neck pickup. This Nashville style power Tele® can give a player just about any sound. A five-position selector switch is used to provide the same pickup combinations as a Fender® Stratocaster®.
The selector switch gives the following 5 combinations: bridge pickup only, bridge and center pickup, center pickup only, center and neck pickup, and neck pickup only. Stainless steel frets provide exceptionally long wear and silky smooth bends. Every pick up is in the tone control circuit!
